Full Rack + Single Tube Code Readers

Micronic Scanners

The Micronic full rack scanners (DR500, DR505, DR700) require the Micronic Code Readers software to operate. This software is included with the purchase of a scanner and is available to download on the Micronic website. Single tube readers (DT300 and DT500) use keyboard wedge functionality and do not require dedicated software.
The full rack scanners (DR500, DR505, and DR700) can scan 2D Data-Matrix barcodes on the bottom of Micronic and other brand tubes. The single tube scanners (DT300 and DT500) can scan both 1D and 2D Data-Matrix barcodes.
Yes. The DR505 and DR700 scanners have an anti-frost surface that prevents condensation build-up on the scanning surface allowing racks recently removed from the freezer to be scanned.
All Micronic scanners come with a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.
When a rack of tubes is scanned, the Micronic software generates an Excel file that includes: tube ID, rack ID, well position, time stamp, and other customizable fields.

(De)Capping Equipment

X-Capper_96

2ml and 0.50ml Sarstedt screw cap tubes and similar type tubes. Please contact info@nbsscientific.com with compatibility questions.
Approximately 96 tubes in 10 minutes
The X-Capper_96 can cap and/or decap cryovials. Screw caps are loaded into a hopper, a rack of tubes is loaded onto the unit, and the tubes are capped. Pre-capped tubes can also be decapped.
The unit runs on electric power as well as compressed air. The air requirement is 1CFM at 90PSI.
The system measures approximately 24″ (W) x 24″ (D) x 24″ (H).”

CS700 Screw Cap Recapper

The CS700 can cap or decap screw cap tubes in 96, 48, or 24-well racks. The unit can uncap a rack of tubes, unload the caps into a carrier rack. load caps from a carrier rack onto the capping heads, and cap a rack of tubes.
Yes. The CS700 can process partial racks of tubes.
Yes. The CS700 comes with an API and can be integrated into other automated systems. Please contact us with any specific questions.”

Laser Markers

Lambda8 + Lambda576

The Lambda units are compatible with the Micronic hybrid tubes and other tube types containing a frosted or contrasting surface. Please contact us for more specific tube compatibility questions.
No. The laser markers run on electricity only.
No. The laser markers do not require consumables for operation.
The Lambda576 and Lambda8 laser markers can print text, barcodes, and images.
There is no limit. The size of text is adjustable, so the smaller you make the text, the more information you can fit on the tube.

Frozen Sample Aliquotters

The CXT 353

The CXT 353 can be used on a range of sample types and applications. Common samples include frozen tissue, feces, serum, plasma, whole blood, urine, and other biofluids. Common applications include: bioanalysis, microbiome, molecular pathology, and biobanking.”
Standard coring probes include: 1.5mm diameter/42mm long, 3.0mm diameter/42mm long, and 3.0mm diameter/57mm long. Custom probe sizes can be made upon request.
Normally, several cores can be taken from one sample. However, this can vary depending on the tube size you are using and the probe being used.

The HT700

Tubes in 96=well (ANSI/SLAS standard) format racks. Compatible tube sizes are 0.30ml, 0.40ml, 0.50ml, 0.75ml, 0.80ml, 1.10ml, and 1.40ml. Please contact us for tube compatibility questions.
No. The HT700 uses a built-in touch screen interface for operation.
The HT700 has 24 source rack positions and 3 destination rack positions.
Yes. The HT700 can scan the 2D Data-Matrix barcode on the bottom of the tubes as well as the 1D rack barcode.
