What types of research can the CXT 353 be used for?

The CXT 353 can be used in several areas of research within the life science industry. No, the sample will not thaw inside the coring probe. Since both the probes and parent samples are kept at -80C, there is not enough time or  temperature difference to thaw the partial sample during extraction.

It takes approximately 1 minute to core a sample. This includes the time it takes to hit the core bottom and then deposit the core in the destination tube.

No. The serrated edges of the coring probe lose their sharpness after 1 core. This means that consecutive cores will become jagged and more difficult to eject.

Once the instrument is up to temperature, you have a working time of 1 hour before the next fill.
