The Micronic Tube Handler HT700 is an automated sample management system that can sort sample storage tubes quickly, efficiently, and safely. Due to its unique “cassette” design, the HT700 can hold a large capacity of source racks while taking up minimal space in the lab.

After the user loads a “pick list” (generated from a LIMS system) into the HT700, the system will automatically start to select and place the desired tubes into target racks. Then, once the HT700 completes the sorting process, a log-file will be created to help users track the samples that were selected.

Fast Operation

The HT700 can sort up to 800 sample tubes per hour because of the minimum distance between the sample being picked and the target rack.


The HT700 has a unique integrated dual 1D rack barcode and 2D Data-Matrix code check.


The HT700 was designed as an enclosed system for operator safety. There’s also a separate safety stop to ensure sample protection.
