What does the Service Technician position entail?
As a Service Technician at NBS Scientific, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of laboratory equipment and systems. You will perform both preventative and corrective maintenance, onsite installations, and technical adjustments, ensuring that our customers’ equipment operates at peak performance.
You will also:
- Provide customer support via phone and email
- Keep detailed records of service work, warranty claims, and service contracts
- Conduct equipment checks and quality control tests
- Train and instruct end-users on proper equipment usage
- Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and contribute to overall business growth
- Assist with shipping, logistics, and other operations department tasks when needed
Your ultimate goal is to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction by resolving technical issues efficiently and professionally. Work may take place both in-house and on-site (occasionally international).
Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated competency and high level of understanding of automated equipment and mechanics
- Competency in use of basic hand tools
- Excellent customer relations and organizational skills required
- Above average computer skills, including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
